All of India’s top-notch companies including the startups have started giving online training to their employees during this coronavirus lockdown 2020 to train them to increase efficiency and also awareness among them. This year’s sudden turn on our day to day lifestyle has brought us many new changes to be made. One of the most important businesses that got hit hard because of this lockdown was all the businesses that require actual person-person interactions because of all the cancellations of the in-person meetings or Face to face ones. This pushed all the companies on edge as many of the companies solely depend on the direct interactions between the blue or grey collar workers and the customers.

Many startup companies like Swiggy, Zomato, Big Basket, Grofers, flip kart have started training their employees digitally literally thousands of delivery executives, service staff, all pickers, and packers and for workers of the warehouse as this globe wide quarantining lockdown has left no place for in-person communications. Even Ola and Uber companies have started these digital training sessions. All these companies are using animated videos, and voice-overs for better communication and understanding.

For instance, Swiggy a food delivery company having delivery for 300 cities has never completely done full digital training for employees but now is adopting it. There is three main intent for all these companies; Staff safety, much better adoption of products, and gaining of customer trust. Providing safety awareness to all the employees about all the precautions needed to be taken and all the safety gears that are needed to be worn by the workers when they go out for delivering or collecting.

The current skills possessed by the workers of all the companies including the startups would be not so digital but during this COVID-19 era all the workers need are these digital skills thus providing the online digital and virtual training maybe even in their own mother tongues could be of huge help to both the company’s performance and customer satisfaction. This need for digitalism has a positive impact on the youth of the world who embrace much of it.

So, exploring of all digital and virtual platforms should be done in order to choose out the best without losing the actual momentum of workplace learning and to be put in use as this will soon become the norm.
