August 15, the date reminds every Indian citizen about the freedom fight as well the singing of the National Anthem along with every other student at morning assembly in the school on Independence Day.

This year, Google India has decided to make Independence Day more memorable. For that Google has sought the participation of the people. Google has announced the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to make the celebration more unique. Through this, it reminds the people singing the National Anthem in school assemblies during childhood.

Google said that it has partnered with Prasar Bharati and Virtual Bharat for this AI experiment. The company is using two main trades. One is the artificial intelligence (AI) work that the company has developed with regard to the music and the other one is the voice of people. With these two trades, the company is planning to generate the Indian National Anthem.

Google has said the only thing participants are required is to sing the National Anthem. Artificial Intelligence (AI) would then convert the voice of participants into one of the traditional instruments listed by Google, such as shehnai, sarangi, or bansuri. The company has given the option for participants to select the instruments by themselves.

The procedure to participate is very simple. By using the smartphone users have to log in to the specified web application. The app is an interactive app, which works only on Chrome and Safari. Once the app is open users would be able to hear and understand the pitch and tempo at which the users required to sing the National Anthem. Users would be able to see the lyrics of the National Anthem and the lyrics would be highlighted as per the rhythm. Once the singing is done, then the user can select the instrument of their choice. This can be downloaded and can be shared with near and dear ones.

The company said the experiment is done completely on the browser and on the device using TensorFlow. Google has also said that it is neither collecting nor storing any personal information of the user and the culmination would be released on August 15, 2020, as part of the 73rd anniversary of Independence Day.
