In advance of Diwali, Kalyan Jewellers announces ambitious network development plans in India.

First, Kalyan Jewellers boosted their presence in the states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana in South India. By opening a showroom in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, in 2012, they began to operate outside of South India. They also appointed Amitabh Bachchan as their first National Brand Ambassador. Kalyan Jewellers joined the international market in 2013 by opening six showrooms in the United Arab Emirates on the same day. Since then, it has expanded and now has 30 showrooms throughout the Middle East, including the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and Oman.

Kalyan Jewellers has an extensive presence as of February 2020, with over 137 showrooms, 107 of which are in India and the remainder 30 throughout the Middle East.The business has also established “My Kalyan,” a customer care facility, which provides services such as gold insurance for jewelry made of gold and advances booking for wedding purchases. In India, there are currently around 761 “My Kalyan” locations.Before this year’s Diwali, Kalyan Jewellers wants to expand the brand’s retail presence in India by an additional 8%.

This new lineup is intended for areas outside of the South. The Company will concentrate on growing its operations in Tier-1 cities like Delhi and Mumbai’s micro-markets while aggressively enlarging its footprint in Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets. The company’s pre-Diwali expansion plan is in keeping with the company’s wider vision, according to Ramesh Kalyanaraman, executive director of Kalyan Jewellers, when discussing the company’s growth plans and tactics.

The revenue contribution from non-South markets, which is now at about 35%, will be increased as part of Vision 2025. We intend to open 10 new sites in States where we already command a large market share. Our expanded reach will enable us to build upon already established procedures, the purchasing ecosystem, and our market knowledge to support growth momentum.

Before the forthcoming Diwali and wedding season, Kalyan Jewellers will expand its network of stores by ten in strategic places. This includes opening three new showrooms in the Delhi-NCR at Rajouri Gardens, Janakpuri, and Gurugram Gold Souk; three more in Uttar Pradesh by bolstering presence in Lucknow with locations at Gomti Nagar and Lulu Mall; Golf City; and one in Varanasi, the Ganges city. With Ahmednagar and Dombivli (8th Showroom in Mumbai), two further locations in Maharashtra will be opened, and Berhampur and Bilaspur in Orissa and Chhattisgarh, respectively, will each receive one additional location.
