The creative function at L&K Saatchi& Saatchi obtains a major boost with coming of Kanishka Vashisht as Executive Creative Director. Kanishka will be based on New Delhi and will manage all brands for the region. He will report into Rohit Malkani the National Creative Director of L&K Saatchi & Saatchi.
Kanishka sticks with the agency from Lowe Lintas Delhi, where he wasa Group Creative Director. His joining will strengthen the agency’s creative output and help create a unique culture of one that will thrive on creating meaningful conversations &superlative content for brands in the region.
Rohit Malkani said that “Finding out the better person to the head our New Delhi office wasn’t very much easy. It had to be someone who shared our obsession for spawning a very unique culture. Who shared our ambition for makingsuperlative content and conversations and finally, someone with a proven track record. In Kanishka, I saw all the 3 points. He is a unique& creative person with his heart in the right place. It is going to be the heck of a ride with him on board.”
Kanishka started his advertising journeyas a suit in Triton Advertising- Delhi. But the creative spirit in him led him to turn over and join Ogilvy Delhi, in 2004. After a five year stint at the agency where he worked on brands like KFC, Eno, Motorola, LG, and others, he left to join Leo Burnett. As Uninor was born, he then summoned to McCann Delhi, to build strong relationships with Chevrolet, Perfetti,Aircel, Coke,Metlife, Greenlam and others.
After five-year stint, Lowe Lintas- Delhi came calling and got to help conceive more than just ideas for brands like Micromax, Google, Foodpanda and Hindustan Times. He shortly took a sabbatical to explore his liking for a serene setting and left the fields of southern France to make cheese and herd goats.
By sharing his views on the opportunity that this role presents, Kanishka said; “I can rant about how my skills, personality, career goals and working style make me a best fit for the job or you read this subtext in my head. I believe that L&K Saatchi & Saatchi is extremely fertile land for some of very interesting brand work. My job is to sow the seeds of gather, possibility, and nurture talent & of course, reap the fruits of our combined efforts.”
