Reckitt partners with UN Women to encourage gender diversity in India

Reckitt has partnered with UN Women to build economic possibilities for women in the health, hygiene, and sanitation sectors.

Reckitt’s objective is to protect, heal and sustain in the constant race of a healthier world. Each product has intended to do exactly like this. For more than 200 years, Brands have been building a difference among people’s daily experiences around the world.

UN Women is the United Nations’ existence specified to gender equality and women empowerment. A global champion for women and girls, UN Women has been progressed a meeting to know the demands.

This partnership aims to promote gender equality, diversity, and inclusion. A Memorandum of Understanding has been approved by Susan Ferguson, country delegate, UN Women India, Reckitt, and others.

UN Women set global measures for attaining gender equality and works with authorities and civil society to design laws, policies, programs, and services that are required for women and girls.

Jain said Women are the incentives of change. We must act as an enabler and catalyst to mentor them and generate a more balanced environment. Reckitt is happy to increase the efforts in this region with UN Women on this one-of-a-kind partnership to support women in society to become bouncing. This partnership strives to provide women with life skills like decision-making and entrepreneurial possibilities. Together with UN Women, the common goal of marking the educational imbalance, gender inequality, and hygiene for all.

UN Women and Reckitt aim to improve women’s path to better health and hygiene and jobs for women, which is a basic need in India.

 Women and girls have been severely affected by Covid-19. So to help the most marginalized find suitable jobs in sanitation and hygiene services is the right step towards improving women’s lives.

UN Women and Reckitt India are also co-creating a program targetting areas where women and girls in India have been severely impacted by poverty and prejudice due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Through Reckitt’s Dettol Banega Swasth India and Harpic Mission Paani, the program will mainly focus on creating job and entrepreneurial opportunities for women in the health, hygiene, and sanitation sectors.
