The American multimedia messaging app and camera company Snapchat launched its new Snap original content and Creator Marketplace. The Creator Marketplace would help businesses to partner up with a selected group of AR creators in a seamless and scaled manner.
The Creator Marketplace would help in facilitating influencer partnership which would play a crucial role in Snapchat’s growth. The newly launched Snap Originals would have a wide range of shows including content from celebrities like Gabi DeMartino, Megan Thee Stallion, and Niki, and also includes content from TikTok stars Charli and Dixie D’Amelio.
Snapchat commented that it has created about 128 original shows, that have helped to grab the attention of over 85% of the Gen Z population and the new slate would reflect the interests of the online community. The original shows would address issues that are essential to the Snapchat user generation. The new Snap Original includes both scripted and unscripted shows and docuseries. Some of the shows that would feature in Snap Originals are The Me and You Show, Breakwater, Charli VS. Dixie and Off Thee Leash with Megan Thee Stallion.
Snapchat highlighted the point that the latest Creator Marketplace integrates creators directly with their advertising ecosystem, for businesses to connect with Lens Creators, Lens Developers, Lens Partners, and would also help Snap Stars to boost their marketing presence on Snapchat. The Creator Marketplace will provide a great opportunity for businesses to leverage the expertise of AR Creators in Snapchat’s Lens Network to build a potent and compelling AR experience. The new Original content aims to discuss social issues, racial issues, mental health, and the impacts of climate change.
The all-new Creator Marketplace would help to reach the entire community of Creators and Snap Stars and, also assist them to partner with them on brand activations and advertising campaigns. In addition to celebrity-lead content, Snapchat is also focusing on educational and topical content that aligns with the interest of the millennials and Gen Z. The Creator Marketplace would provide businesses with a new opportunity to grasp the expertise and creativity of Snap creators to drive ROI for various Snapchat activities.
