On the event of World Mental Health Day October 10, Tata Motors in association with the MindPeers (mental health tech service platform) has launched a special campaign – ‘Stop the Endless Accident’. This campaign aims to promote information about road safety and trauma caused by vehicular accidents.

Tata Motors’ new campaign in association with Mindpeers promotes awareness on road safety and about the importance of seeking counsel for PTSD which is Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and it is caused by car accidents. Also, this campaign provides a platform for the survivors for motivating others through their stories.

The title of the campaign video begins with a description of a survival story and how the moment of danger is played back endlessly in the mind of the survivor. The video shows the mental state and feelings of a person involved in an accident. The same situation is followed by the stories of other survivors who experienced a similar experience and tolerate the same PTSD symptoms, years after the incident. Through the medium of these stories, the campaign proves and also informs others that a car crash can cause long term PTSD, if not treated right.

Speaking about the campaign Vivek Srivatsa, head – marketing, passenger vehicle business unit, Tata Motors, stated that the campaign is a tribute to accident survivors who are suffering from PTSD and should be provided with the essential counseling and therapy to the survivors to recover from their traumatic experience while making re-integration into their personal and professional lives more comfortable. Also, the company hopes that this campaign inspires a feeling of recognition about mental health amongst all viewers while promoting the need to drive safely.

Kanika Agarwal, the founder of MindPeers.co, mentions that when Tata Motors introduced Mindpeers to this campaign of acknowledging the trauma and continuous mind struggles of the accident survivors I was filled with honour and respect. As a core mental health organization, they are working with hundreds of consumers daily fighting with PTSD. One related to accidents is ignored in our society which negatively impacts the survivors on their confidence level in all phases of life. She also mentions that it is a great opportunity in association with Tata motors.
