Parachute Advanced safe lands in the heart of God’s own country by launching a heartening digital campaign, this Onam, honoring the unparalleled spirit of nurses across the country.

Parachute, one of the leading hair oil brand by Marico India, has recently released a short film expressing their gratitude and respect towards healthcare workers, especially nurses, for their constant efforts in helping the Covid-19 patients battle the corona-virus pandemic.

The hair-care brand, Parachute has released the ad film #ThankYouNurses, ahead of Onam, paying a tribute by the Covid-19 survivors for the selfless care and concern by the nurses, who have put everything, even the small and big occasions in their lives at pause during the COVID-19 crisis. The service shown by the nurses during this crisis is remarkable because of which thousands of COVID-19 survivors are celebrating Onam with their families.

During this pandemic, nurses are expected to work longer shifts, especially as the virus spreads and the healthcare workers themselves turn positive, leaving space in the workforce. In some places, the nurses are even being asked to return to work from retirement to help fill the need because of the shortage in the workforce. Despite wearing jewellery on this festive occasion, the nurses are seen wearing masks and safety kits following the protocols.

Conceptualized in partnership with a marketing agency VMLY&R, this festive campaign encourages people, especially the Covid-19 survivors to dedicate their ‘pookalams’ to the caring, protecting, and nurturing the spirit of our nurses this Onam. The ad film features three Covid-19 survivors who are captured celebrating Onam at home with their families happily, after their recovery, which was made possible mostly due to the efforts of the dedicated and hard-working nurses.

The brand endorses the selfless work done by these healthcare heroes and inspires people to share their pookalams for them with the hashtag #ThankYouNurses on social media in platforms, as a show of gratitude on this auspicious and promising occasion. The ad film goes on to show various bright and colorful Pookalams, all outlined in a pattern of two hands joining. Thus symbolizing “thank you”, an expression of gratitude and respect to the nurses for their dedication towards helping India fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Thereby driving the audiences to do the same and to join the brand in this small way of giving greeting.
