Vodafone Idea introduces IoT technologies for businesses

IoT technologies for smart infrastructure can communicate with assets such as heterogeneous computers, energy networks, and a variety of applications such as ERP and factory applications for industries as part of the new business offering.

Vi Company, Vodafone Idea’s enterprise arm, announced on Thursday the launch of integrated IoT (internet of things) solutions for businesses.

The telecommunications firm will provide an end-to-end IoT solution that includes connectivity, hardware, network, application, analytics, security, and customer service.

According to the company, the offering is intended to make the digital transformation process easier and faster for businesses.For this, the telco will take a consulting-led collaboration approach, assisting companies in identifying their needs, designing and developing the best IoT solution, and implementing it. On its 5G-ready network, the organisation will provide IoT solutions across industries for smart infrastructure, smart mobility, and smart utilities.

Vi Business’s smart utility IoT solutions will allow utility companies and discoms to remotely track the output of transformers and other energy-consuming equipment, as well as provide an integrated system of smart metres for better customer experiences.
