GoKwik selects Director of Brand Marketing

GoKwik, which is an e-commerce facilitating company is on a mission to modernize the Direct to consumer eCommerce shopping experience has introduced  Joyeeta Ghosal as the Director of Brand Marketing. Joyeeta is an experienced integrated marketing professional with over a decade of work experience in communication strategy, brand development, and sustenance. She is a customer-obsessed and insight-driven narrator and believes in the result-oriented brand and customer-centric product communication.

At GoKwik, Joyeeta will lead the general brand function and can be in control to drive awareness, build trust & establish thought leadership for the brand as a tech company that is available to unravel the challenges of eCommerce businesses & is on a mission to standardize the shopping experience for customers through its web of merchants. She will also be laying the foundations of the brand by building the required partnerships and teams to steer the marketing goals. She knows the power of building the culture of a workplace & hiring the right talent pool and will be driving the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) agenda to support HR and business functions to attain the same. 

Before GoKwik, Joyeeta was in charge of leading the Marketing & Communications function at Home Credit where she set up guiding principles for the brand in India, established creative & media agency partners for the brand permission, spread-out marketing campaigns across channels, and also set up marketing processes within the organization to improve productivity & efficiency of the team. She has also worked with Vodafone India Pvt Ltd (now Vodafone Idea Ltd) and ABP Group (Anandabazar Patrika Group) where she host brand communications and successfully made attractive content and campaigns.  

Talking about her new role Joyeeta said that she was very excited to be a part of a brand that had shown such incredible growth in such a short period. Marketing would enable them to create awareness and recognition for the ground-breaking work that was happening at GoKwik and the problems that they were solving and as they scale their network, they also scale the businesses of their D2C partners which will in effect, benefit the end consumer/ shopper. She also said that it is an exciting time to be working in technology and D2C and she was happy to be able to contribute to this space through GoKwik.

GoKwik trusts in a ‘Merchant-First’ philosophy. With its early products, GoKwik has been solving two very important problems, Return to Origin (RTO) and Conversion Rates, for eCommerce players including traditionally offline businesses, new age D2C brands, and noteworthy marketplaces.

GoKwik further lets eCommerce brands improve their shopping experience throughout the channel and enhances conversion rates confirming higher GMV realization, increased profitability, reduced Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), and increased delivery rates.
