Honda City Exports to Left-Hand Drive Markets Initiated by HCIL

Honda City cars made a new announcement that it has commenced of the new fifth-generation Honda city to left-hand drive Middle Eastern Markets. Usually, HCIL is exporting the vehicle from India to diverse markets. This is for the first time that India is producing left-hand-drive units for exporting purposes. Honda is a motor company which is a Japanese public multinational conglomerate corporation primarily known as a manufacturer of automobiles, motorcycles, and power equipment.

The first batch of left-hand drive units of the Honda City is exported to the Middle East through Pipavav port in Gujarat and Ennore port in Chennai. Honda is planning the export of India made the fifth-generation city. They have targeted almost 12 left-hand drive markets in 2021. In 2020. They exported this sedan to outside India but these include only the right-hand drive markets like Nepal, South Africa, and Bhutan.

Gaku Nakanishi, President, and CEO, Honda Cars India Ltd made his opinion and the sum-up of his opinion is that Honda city is setting a benchmark of sedans in India. The addition of the exports of the Left-Hand Drive model to multiple markets is a great chance to strengthen the Indian Business. New destinations can change the current business pattern of Honda. Honda is invested in developing a very expansive world-class manufacturing facility at Tapukara which produces both right-hand and left-hand drive models that allows Honda to manage both international and domestic business. The fifth-generation city caught the appreciation of the Indian Market and Honda is expecting that they will be able to replicate this success and become able to satisfy the customers with the quality and performance.

This is a wonderful opportunity to boost the company’s Make in India operations through the export of made-in-India products to left-hand drive markets. The export of made-in-India cars by Honda is an initiative taken by Honda City to build up the commitment to the Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ program. It enhances the relationship between the neighboring countries also. Hoda city is trying to set a new trend in the market by finding out the new destinations. They are more focused on the quality and performance of the Honda City Fifth-generation cars to make a success in the history of the car market.
