Huawei AppGallery, one of the largest app marketplace globally, stated that its year-long collaboration with Hungama Music, a prominent music streaming service in India, is now expanding to the Middle East. To boost their global reach, Huawei has taken action to bridge the gap between Indian and international users, starting from the Middle Eastern countries.  The partnership will help Huawei’s Middle-East users indulge in an enriching experience with Hungama Music and access over twelve million songs, music videos, and podcasts in 20+ languages from the most famous Indian and international labels.

The strengthening of the alliance between Huawei and Hungama Music through AppGallery‘s expansion in the Middle-East area will allow the users a fluid music experience along with the availability of a sizeable local library. Hungama Music has an agreement with Mazzika Group, a leading Arabic music company in the country. The partnership will allow Hungama Music to offer more than 10,000 tracks from famous musicians like Hisham Abbas, Ahmed Saad, Ahmed Gamal, and Abu.

Hungama Music is the first Indian alliance with Huawei to go live in international markets, namely, Kuwait, Egypt, UAE, KSA, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, etc. Huawei AppGallery is working with more Indian companies to establish a global exposure to create a mobile ecosystem without geographical barriers. This action will expand its existing app portfolio of over 2.3 million registered developers and offer various cross-border applications to its users. Earlier, to draw app developers and serve them, Huawei AppGallery rolled out many incentives, including 90% of ad revenue, to the app owners.

Commenting on the association, Country Manager – Ecosystem Partnerships, Huawei Middle East & Africa Region, Mr. Sahil Sachdeva said, “We are thrilled to take our business with Hungama to the international markets. This partnership will provide an exceptional experience of audio and video streaming to Huawei’s users outside of India. It is a move forward to strengthen our attempts to build a diverse app experience for our users. Beginning from Middle-east, we are looking ahead, taking the tie-up to the world’s market. Huawei has been committed to building an ecosystem where everyone has an opportunity to grow. We will operate with more Indian applications and take them to the international market.”
