Hyperautomation: An advancement in the existing Automation Process

Hyperautomation was listed as the number one trend in Gartner’s Top 10 Strategic Technology Trends for 2020. Often referred to as Forrester’s Robotic Process Automation, this technique is similar to improving the functionality of modern machines. This is a blend of different primary systems, ranging from robotic process automation (RPA), intelligent business management software (iBPMS), machine learning ( ML), and artificial intelligence ( AI). This promotes the effective utilization of rational mechanisms that can be automated by hardware or software robots.

Automation takes a stage ahead with the implementation of robotics. It gives importance to reducing the reliance on humanitarian assistance for the input. While classical automation helps in the efficiency of work operations, hyper-automation provides an extra layer of robotic intelligence that renders the operation much quicker, error-free, and end-end automation. That is what makes it an undeniable phenomenon in the digital transformation era. Therefore, it should be spoken of as a discipline that enhances human capacity rather than eliminating it.

Hyperautomation is currently targeting businesses primarily in the oil and gas, manufacturing, and service sectors. Gartner estimates that, by 2024, a total of 30% of operational costs could be eliminated if businesses implement hyper-automation technology.

To develop a strong hyper-automation network, businesses need to provide a team of tech professionals and non-tech professionals employed in a range of fields. This staff team may comprise data scientists, RPA engineers, and reviewers, small and medium-sized businesses, market analysts, and operations managers.
