SNICKERS®, the nougat, caramel, and nuts-filled chocolate bar from the Mars Wrigley portfolio, is returning with a new film featuring Vinay Pathak, a well-known theatre and cinema actor, and promising young artist Vedika Nawani. The film displays a hilarious twist on ‘Hunger Pangs,’ which consumers have often seen and enjoyed in legendary SNICKERS® marketing films, bringing to life the brand concept of ‘You’re Not You When You’re Hungry.’

The new TVC portrays a break from the normal change in personality of the protagonist, to an unexpected and outrageous deed or choice, as shown in the film, where Vinay Pathak, playing the character of a parent, ends up buying a monster truck during a hunger pang

Mars Wrigley‘s Kalpesh R Parmar commented on the debut of the new SNICKERS® film, saying, “The brand proposition of SNICKERS® has become iconic and is adored by consumers throughout the world.” To bring to life a hilarious situation emerging out of hunger, we’ve leaned on the tongue-in-cheek humour of the brand. When it comes to our mission at Mars Wrigley India, we are committed to creating a billion better moments for consumers, customers, and communities, and we are certain that SNICKERS® fans will like the new TVC.”.

Vinay Pathak, a renowned Bollywood actor, shared his thoughts on the collaboration, saying, “SNICKERS® has always been one of my favourite chocolates, and I was extremely pleased to partner with such a fantastic company.” It is the ideal thing to grasp; it is my saviour when I need to satisfy my hunger pains, especially while I am working and hunger combines with stress and fury. SNICKERS® is a much-loved brand, and I identify strongly with its image and tongue-in-cheek sense of humour. Being a part of their unique new video has been a lot of fun, and I’m looking forward to seeing how the public reacts to the commercial. I hope they love seeing it as much as I did filming it.”

The film begins with the father, Vinay Pathak, washing the monster truck while his daughter watches and wonders what he is doing. The father explains that he purchased the monster truck to win the race. When asked which race he is aiming to win, he says the “race of life.” Vedika Nawani’s character, the daughter, shakes her head in amazement and digs into her purse for a SNICKERS® bar. When the father consumes the bar of SNICKERS®, he realises his error, and a voice-over says, “Jab insaan bhookh se completely pagla jae, usse SNICKERS® pakadaye.”

The movie is accessible in nine different languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
