Jio TV Plus launched: Available for all Jio Fibre users

At the Reliance’s 2020, 43rd Annual General Meeting, the company launched JioTV+ that offers contents from 12 different OOT players includes Amazon Prime, Netflix, DisneyHotstar, Voot, Jiocinema, SonyLiv, JioSavvn, Youtube, etc. The JioTV+ will be available to all users of the JioFibre set-top-box.

The Jio set-top-box comes with a Jio App Store which consists of online Applications from different categories like health, yoga, entertainment, news, travel, lifestyle, and more. The company said that Jio has become India’s largest internet company and it’s the second-largest internet company in the world. Jio broadband network has connected millions of Indian users.

The company announced that it has developed 5G technology, the fastest technology, with the help of technologies and services of India. The service is about to launch the next year 2021 in India. The company has also said that they are ready to export the 5G service worldwide and it will be an Indian made service. If this launches then, India will be the first country in the world to launch 5G technology.

Google has invested in Reliance Jio for a 7.73% equity stake for Indian money 33,737. With this invested the company aims to develop a new Android operating system (OS) specifically for India. With this OS the company aims to target the older people who find it difficult to use the existing android versions.

Company is not net debt-free, said Mukesh Ambani in the meeting

The company also said that after the launch of the vaccine for COVID-19, the company will make sure that it uses all of its supply chains to reach the vaccine to the nook and corner of India, said Nita Ambani. In the meeting, Nita Ambani also said that she would try her level best to bring the Olympics in India. They also launched Jio Health Hub, which is a health and fitness app. Reliance has also launched Jio Glasses based on virtual reality. The Jio Glasses are called smart glasses.
