The New corporate logo and global brand motto have been unveiled by Kia Motors. The automaker claims that the launch of the new logo represents its intention of maintaining a leadership position in the future mobility industry by revamping almost all areas of its sectors. The new logo is, according to Kia Motors, a sign of the new intent of its brand and the benefits it promises to give customers through potential goods and services. The new logo looks like a handwritten signature and its unbroken line conveys the devotion of the company to give moments of inspiration. Kia’s commitment to giving moments of inspiration is expressed by the rhythmical, unbroken line of the logo although its symmetry demonstrates confidence. Kia’s growing aspirations for the brand and more specifically what it offers customers is embodied by the rising gestures of the logo.
Ho Sung Song who is the President & CEO of Kia Motors said that This new logo of Kia reflects the company’s dedication to being an icon for innovation and change. The automotive industry is experiencing a period of accelerated transformation, and Kia is proactively shaping and responding to these developments. He further adds that their new logo reflects their ability to empower customers as their mobility needs change, and for their employees to rise to the problems they encounter in a constantly evolving industry. The new logo was revealed during a record-breaking display of 303 pyro drones firing hundreds of fireworks, igniting and celebrating Kia’s new beginning in a coordinated artistic display in the skies above Incheon, Korea. A new Guinness World Record for the most unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launching fireworks simultaneously was set at this event.
Kia Motors also unveiled its new global brand motto i.e., ‘Movement that inspires’, and on January 15 the company will announce a new brand strategy and purpose. The launch of the new logo is followed by the declaration of Kia’s ‘Plan S’ long-term business policy in 2020. Under Plan S, one of the goals of the automaker is to take a leading position in the international automobile market to popularize electric vehicles and the introduction of a wide range of mobility services.
