The 2021 Webby Awards have honored McCann World group as Network of the Year, the second year in a row. In comparison, Webby Agency of the Year went to McCann New York. The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences gives out the Webby Awards every year, which are considered as the “Internet’s highest distinction” (IADAS).
McCann New York took home a total of 9 awards at the competition, including three Webby Awards (Mastercard) and six “People’s Voice” Awards, winning 2021 Agency of the Year (Six Degrees Foundation, Mastercard). Change the Ref received an additional Webby from McCann Health New York.

McCann World Group offices in New York, London, Warsaw, Dubai, San Francisco, and Sao Paulo is responsible for distributing the awards. At the exhibition, McCann, MRM, Momentum, McCann Health, and Craft Worldwide were all recognized as McCann World body organizations.
McCann New York, Mastercard (3 Winners); McCann London, Adidas & JD (2 Winners); McCann Poland, Storytel; McCann Health New York, Change the Ref; FP7/McCann Dubai, Mastercard were among the network’s eight Webby Award winners. McCann World group also took home nine “People’s Voice” Webby awards: McCann New York, Six Degrees Foundation (4 Winners); McCann New York, Mastercard (2 Winners); 215 McCann San Francisco, Xbox; FP7/McCann Dubai, Home Centre; and McCann Sao Paulo, Banco do Brazil.
The network received 14 award nominations and 27 honouree recognitions in addition to the awards earned at the show; in all, the network was recognized through 26 independent organizations in 14 countries with 31 different customers.
The Webby awards follow Adweek’s acknowledgment of McCann World group as the 2019 Global Agency of the Year, Network of the Year at the 2019 Cannes Lions International Festival, placing #1 on the 2019 Global Effie Effectiveness Index, and ranking #1 advertisement agency network for innovative effectiveness in the 2020 WARC Successful 100 rankings.
