‘Mission One Earth’ flagship initiative by Jeep India


‘Mission One Earth’, Jeep India’s flagship initiative to promote responsibility among adventurers. Through the Corporate Social Responsiblity (CSR) campaign Jeep India will spread awareness about the environment and safety.

Jeep is a globally reputed and leading automobile maker. Jeep kickstarted the campaign in the mighty Himalayas. The local community accompanied by customers gathered in the Ladakh region to collect 1500 kilograms of plastic waste from the roads leading to the highest motorable road in the world.

Legendary Jeep Trails, Jeep’s yearly customer drive experience, is associated with the Mission One Earth initiative. Jeep customers and around 300 people from the Ladakh community came together and drove 2000 kilometres from Shimla to Shrinagar through Leh in 20 SUVs.

Jeep installed hi-tech ‘reverse vending machines in high-traffic tourist areas along high-altitude Himalayan routes. The plastic trash gathered is going to be recycled into Jeep merchandise.

Tourists who put plastic trash into the reverse vending machines will receive a voucher that can be redeemed for environment-friendly goods supplied directly by Jeep India. For a year these machines will remain installed and maintained by Jeep India.

Mission One Earth initiative is a stepping stone towards ensuring a responsible and adventurous driving attitude. We will give to the Mission One Earth initiative over the approaching months by sharing our objectives with Jeep customers and Network partners across the country said Nipun J Mahajan, Head of Jeep India.

Mission One Earth initiative incorporates several issues to be empowered annually by Jeep India. The main objective is to make the customer aware and responsible about the environment and safety while cruising their SUVs.

Jeep India intends to use its Dealer network and large customers base to disseminate the message of Responsible Adventure throughout the country.

We will provide every Jeep store in India with a Mission One Earth component in the coming months to help disseminate the message. 

Jeep has been an iconic brand for quite eight decades, bringing people together and shaping communities everywhere on the planet. Jeep consumers will always remain at the guts of the brand’s purpose, which can be ferried out under the banner of Mission One Earth.

Jeep has a customer base of more than fifty thousand. Mission One Earth has received a warm welcome and is initially a success.
