Nikon announces the latest edition of its pioneering campaign, "Through her lens"

Nikon India, a 100% subsidiary of Nikon co-operation and leader in imaging technology has announced the latest edition of its pioneering campaign, Through her lens, an annual digital contest that aims to empower and elevate the voices of professional and amateur women photographers in India.

About the contest–  This is the 3rd season of the ‘Through her lens’ contest. The contest will serve as a platform for many women photographers to show their creative expertise, gain valuable exposure, and establish connections with the top professionals in the industry. Women aspiring to pick photography as their field of interest are curbed by societal and family pressures. Thus, the contest enables women to showcase their talent and skills by breaking gender stereotypes and encouraging many women to, join the field of photography.

The theme of the contest–  The theme of the 3rd season of the contest is-  ‘That’s Me!’ encouraging women photographers and videographers to submit one photograph or video along with a short description of the image or video and how they reflect their perception of themselves. In other words, the contest gives women a chance to break free from societal expectations, showcase their talents, and present a true version of themselves through the art of photography. The contest propagates the concept of self-discovery and self-expression for women and shows their creativity as visual artists. Participation is open to all female photographers and videographers working in any field of photography, from fashion, and fine arts to wildlife, and photojournalism.
