S4Capital and MediaMonks expand to add PR firm Low Earth Orbit (L.E.O)

S4Capital and MediaMonks announced their further extension into PR and communications space with the inclusion of Low Earth Orbit (L.E.O.). Former Edelman executives Kevin King and Jess Clifton will take on senior leadership positions inside MediaMonks. The team will proceed immediately with MediaMonks.L.E.O was established in 2019 to create positive partnerships between brands and customers through inventive, creative interactions that affect the community and produce measurable outcomes. At its inception, the team has collaborated with its client partners, including Dole, Sierra Nevada, Facebook, and LA28.

In these newly named positions, Kevin King will act as Global Head of Brand Reputation, concentrating on developing forward-looking public affairs and marketing, rooted in modern media relations and digital-first strategy. Jess Clifton will act as Head of Brand and Marketing Advisory, focusing on scaling up MediaMonks’ expertise to help marketers optimize their commitment through technology resources, corporate architecture, marketing policy, media, campaign preparation, and execution.

Before joining L.E.O as Global Advisor, Kevin had been with Edelman for 16 years and worked as Global Chair of Edelman Digital as well as as a member of the Edelman Executive Committee. Edelman Digital was a social media leader and expanded to nearly $200 million in sales with more than 1,000 multinational staff in King’s tenure. Kevin’s expertise in crisis and brand image has helped a variety of clients tackle challenges thoughtfully and transparently, including United Airlines, Unilever, Samsung, to name a few.

In 2019, Jess Clifton founded Low Earth Orbit as a digital-first marketing and communications consultancy. At that time, she collaborated with a variety of clients to coordinate and reset their approach to technology deployment, digital marketing, media, and analytics – also working as temporary advisors to provide a rapid effect. Before L.E.O., Jess worked as a U.S. Head of Digital for Edelman where she led the growth of Edelman’s digital service platform, including pay-per-view television, social management, influencer programming, and analytics; she has served in senior positions at several advertising firms, including Goodby Silverstein & Partners and FCB.
