Times Network launches a new Hindi news channel

Times Network, the 24-hour, English news channel in India that is owned by The Times Group revealed the logo for its upcoming Hindi news channel – NavBharat, yesterday via a Twitter post. The new channel will air from the 1st of August 2021 and will be the third HD, Hindi news channel in the country.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said that the trial run for the channel was done in the month of May and the new channel will start airing soon. In April, an advertisement was also shared across social media platforms in order to look for employees for the new channel, as a lot of new positions (reporting, output desk, research team, etc.) were open for application and had to be filled.

Times Network is a division of Bennett, Coleman & Company Limited (BCCL), which is the parent company that owns and operates some of the most famous and successful news portals, namely – The Times of India, Economic Times, and Mumbai Mirror. Television channels such as – TIMES NOW, Times Now (World), ET NOW, Movies Now, Romedy Now and Romedy Now HD, MNX and MNX HD, Zoom, etc. are owned by The Times Network too.
