Wakefit, the company of direct-to-consumer sleep and home solutions, has now launched a campaign that consists of a series of IPL-themed videos showing its Babloo carpenter character, performed by a popular actor Vijay Raaz. In order to fix and install furniture, Babloo carpenter will be seen visiting homes in major cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Punjab and Kolkata to engage with the families in the IPL fever in a fun way.

The company plans to release six IPL-themed Babloo episodes, beginning with an introduction video of a group of cheerleaders celebrating in the background as Babloo assembles furniture set for Wakefit. While in the Bengaluru videos Wakefit is seen to be a household name, Chennai households are portrayed as having an affiliation to great finishers, alluding to the CSK skipper MS Dhoni and his retirement announcement. Delhi, Punjab and Kolkata are also seen, as Babloo visits their houses, by adding their IPL tadka.

Chaitanya Ramalingegowda, Wakefit.co, co-founder and owner, said, “If anything stays unchanged in the modern mainstream, it’s the way we Indians unite over sports and games. In these tough times for Indian families, the IPL is a perfect mood-booster and tension alleviator. At Wakefit we recognise that the IPL season can be the ideal opportunity to push discussions among family members about the value of ergonomic home solutions.

Also, the organisation initiated an influencer marketing initiative to increase awareness about its variety of sleep solutions. The campaign includes Dinesh Karthik from Kolkata Knight Riders, Vijay S from Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings’ Kedar Jadhav, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Parthiv Patel, Mumbai Indians’ Suryakumar Yadav and Delhi Capitals’ Ajinkya Rahane.

The people have finally got a source of stress buster through IPL, and the company’s initiative to provide the home service to fix and install the furniture is a great initiative. The company will this way solve the consumers’ problem of going out in order to get their furniture fixed and installed. The company has made sure that they maintain proper hygiene and safety during COVID times.
