Dell welcomes students back to college by urging them to discover their passion.


Dell sells equipment made by various manufacturers, including personal computers (PCs), servers, data storage units, network switches, software, computer peripherals, HDTVs, cameras, and printers. The business is renowned for the way it handles electronic commerce and its supply chain.

This includes Dell providing the clients’ desired PCs and conducting direct customer sales.  Prior to purchasing Perot Systems in 2009, Dell was a solely hardware supplier. Then Dell began offering IT services. The business now aims to transition from providing computers as its only product to providing a variety of technology for commercial customers after expanding its storage and networking solutions.

The “return to college” campaign from this year has been made public by Dell Technologies and was conceptualized by VMLY&R. The initiative is a part of Dell’s “Yeh Hai Padhai 2.0” (this is education 2.0) initiative, which aims to provide young people with computers that will enable them to turn their passions into careers. It comprises a movie about three students turning their interests in gymnastics, baking, and car customization into successful careers.

The head of marketing for consumers at Dell Technologies in India, Mayuri Saikia, stated that today’s college students are knowledgeable, aspirational, and enthusiastic about their hobbies. Their development depends heavily on PCs, and Dell’s “Back to College” ad encourages them to #DiscoverTheirPassion.

The future of education excites us at Dell Technologies, and we will continue to come up with new ideas for how to assist kids in pursuing their interests. “Yeh Hai Padhai 2.0” is an illustration of how Dell has used its position as a technology leader to meet the changing needs of the education sector.

The chief creative officer of VMLY&R, Mukund Olety, stated that today’s students are more prepared to explore their passions than we ever were. They are prepared to explore, dabble, and learn what it takes to bring their passions to life in a variety of fields, including sports, the culinary arts, and the many facets of design. Dell is a collaborator and enabler in helping these students find their hobbies thanks to its high-performance PCs.
