OPPO partners with Instagram


OPPO Mobile Telecommunications Corporation, a Chinese electronics and mobile communications company, founded by Tony Chen, headquartered in Guangdong, China announced its partnership with Instagram to launch its quest for the next generation of video content creators in India. The collaboration will take place through a campaign called #EveryEmotionInPortrait with #RenoShowReels.

Through this collaboration content creators on Instagram will be asked to leverage branded content and showcase the newly launched Reno6 series. The campaign also highlights the features of the phone such as 20x zoom, ultra-dark mode, and the ultra-steady video feature that encourages people to discover new perspectives in photography.

The recent Reno6 series smartphones – Reno6, Reno6 pro 5G, and OPPO Reno6 5G have the industry-first Bokeh flare portrait video feature. A cinematic Bokeh flare effect that captures professional-level pictures and videos which can be celebrated by the #RenoShowReels campaign. In the end, the winner for the same will be decided based on whose reel is the most joyous, capturing moments of everyday happiness. A collaborated, collage video will also be created to showcase the videos of all the participants, representing various emotions and memories

Commenting on the campaign and the collaboration, Sumit Walia, Vice President – Product & Marketing, OPPO India, said, “Targeting at the creative young trendsetters with a passion for self-expression, we have partnered with Instagram to provide our youthful consumers a platform to create the most imaginative and unique content. To further fuel their creativity, we have launched the #ChallengeYourself campaign, which encourages them to challenge their perspective and unleash their playful imaginative spirit using the Reno 2 series.”

A #ChallengeYourself contest has also been initiated to attract content creators. To participate in this challenge users need to visit the nearest OPPO store, make creative content from Reno2 and upload it Instagram tagging OPPO’s Instagram page and using the #OPPOReno2 and #ChallengeYourself. The best content created will have a chance of winning the new OPPO Reno2 every hour and few lucky winners will also have the chance to attend an Instagram mentoring session presented by Facebook India.
