In the Indian smartphone industry, the budget category has and still will be the most sought segment. Like it or not, it’s just February and in this segment, we already have a potential best-seller. Launched last week, in the sub-Rs 12,000 categories, the Poco M3 will be the smartphone to top this year. In the coming months, it has almost everything to dominate the budget segment – cool looks, good display, great battery, and decent camera setup. It is easy to catch all of this for less than Rs 12,000.

The Poco M3 is, as the name suggests, the Poco M2’s successor. For the base 64GB version, it is priced at Rs 10,999, while in India, the 128GB variant is priced at Rs 11,999. It should be remembered that, unlike the 4GB version available in other countries, each of these versions comes with 6 GB of RAM.

Design of POCO M3

It would be named Poco M3 if the value for money had a name. With a refreshed body language, the smartphone stands out in the crowded market. In favor of an all-plastic structure that has a much stronger grip and makes the body fingerprint-resistant, Poco has ditched the glossy back panel. A nice touch is the textured leather cover finish. Despite the modest cost added, it makes the smartphone look a little expensive. The stereo speakers, the 3.5mm audio jack, the IR blaster, the triple card slot, the Type-C USB charging port, and a microphone are all throughout the body of the phone. The Poco M3 is 162.3 x 77.3 x 9.6 mm wide and weighs 198 grams. As the phone packs a huge 6000 mAh battery, this is amazing. However, the large camera module on top of the rear panel is the most striking characteristic of the phone. Poco used a large class to house the three lenses. The Poco logo, basically to maintain visual balance, often flaunts the same bottle. This style, though, may still be a topic of controversy and does not fit for everybody.

Display of POCO M3

You get a pleasant 6.53-inch 1080p IPS LCD display on the front with a very thin bezel and an incredible screen-to-body ratio. The selfie shooter houses a water drop-like rounded notch, and it is filled with Gorilla Glass 3. The Full HD+ display is an upgrade to the 720p panel currently seen on budget smartphones. It is not very crisp, but for an inexpensive handset, it can be passed on. The screen is very luminous, making it easier to use and outdoors.

Price of POCO M3 The good news is, instead of the 4 GB model offered in other countries, the Indian version comes with 6 GB of RAM. That sure helps to squeeze more production. For the 6GB + 64GB storage version, the Poco M3 price in India has been set at Rs 10,999, while the 6GB + 128GB storage model is priced at Rs 11,999.
