The upcoming Google Pixel 7 series

The Google Pixel series has been the flagship phone for android for quite some time now. It is popular among tech enthusiasts. They are known for their pure Android experience and excellent performance.

This year at its I/O event, Google hinted at Google Pixel 7 series. There are rumours that it will have two versions this year. The first one will be the Google Pixel 7, and the second one will be the Google Pixel 7 pro. They even have their code names. The Google Pixel 7 is called Cheetah and the Google Pixel 7 Pro is called the Panther. These code names are evident in the drivers that Google has created for them. The Cheetah is represented as C10 and Panther as P10 in those drivers. The Google Pixel 7 Pro will be the taller of the two. Quality-wise, both the pixels will have the same display as the previous generation. The display for Google Pixel 6 series is being manufactured by Samsung. There are two screen sizes, 6.4 and 6.7 inches. The Pixel 6a which is the smallest of the three and more popular comes in a screen size of 6.1 inches.

This year also, the display for Google Pixel 7 will be manufactured by Samsung in slightly different screen sizes and designs. The display of the phones is also being speculated to have different refresh rates. The Google Pixel 7 Pro will have a resolution of 1440pixels by 3120pixels at a refresh rate of 120 Hz. On the other hand, Google Pixel 7 will have a resolution of 1080pixels by 2400pixels at a refresh rate of 90 Hz.

On the chipset front, things are also getting a bit clear. There are reports that the Google Pixel 7 series will have the same chipsets as the previous generation. Historically, the Google Pixel 6 series was the first Pixel series to have the chipset created by Google itself. The two chipsets which will power the upcoming series are Tensor and Titan M2.

The new Pixel 7 series is speculated to arrive during the Spring or Winter in the US. It will have Android 13 out of the box. It will come with 5 years of guaranteed security updates.
