Honasa Consumer Private Limited is the parent company of Mamaearth and it has succeeded to be the first unicorn of 2022 as well as making the entrance into the club.

The company mainly associated with Mamaearth works in generating skincare products, hair care products as well as creams and lotions for mosquito bites and itching.

Honasa private limited on Saturday made the announcement that it raised around $52 million in its latest funding round led by the company in association with Sequoia with an amount ranging around $1.2 billion.

It also stated that it is the first company to join the club in India at the beginning of the year and they consider it has a great start for their company as well as the brand they are associated with and the customers who have laid the trust upon them.

The company plans to use the fund to expand its portfolio as well as to work on personal care products and keep a step into new ventures, hence opening up a new way in this new year to the customers.

Honasa also made a collaboration with Aqualogica a skincare brand and it also plans to use this fund to expand its roots with this brand generation hydration-based products for the customers and also seek out new opportunities in both beauty and skincare segments. 

The Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Honasa said that associating with the brand Mamaearth was one of their turning points in their company’s success and the use of this fund also for producing D2C personal care products and the Derma Co of Mamaearth.

The confidence they gained from associating with Mamaearth led to the conclusion that the funds will be used for mainly new ventures and the distribution and growth of it throughout the panel of time.

Their association with Aqualogica led to the solutions of the mainly asked questions by the customers on the personal care skincare as well as hair care products of millennials.

As the brand is getting more connected with the digital world the brands associated with it will also get a firmer root in the market says the MD of Sequoia. He also adds that he is delighted to work with Honasa.
