Artificial intelligence popularly known as AI is the future of tomorrow. The world is going to witness an AI era, as its companionship is undeniable in today’s world as there is hardly any sector that is uninfluenced by the same. AI becomes an integral part of the business. In the world of uncertainties and dynamism, the application of AI is inevitable. AI is used in all areas that are from a chatbot to fraud detection in organizations with the help of machine learning.

Recruiters are an integral part of all organizations. Even for an IT company, human capital is the backbone of a firm. Recruiters acquire the right person for the right job at the right time for the growth of the organization. According to Uma Ganesh (chairperson, Global Talent Track), with the emergence of new technologies and soft wares, the availability of skilled workers is less, which leads to multidimensional approaches to find the right talent of their requirement, amongst which employers prefer AI and digital methods. Companies are adopting a data-driven approach to recruit persons by using digital technologies to show patterns and remove bias in the hiring process. AI tools developed by companies like Light NLP help companies save time by finding the right candidate through intelligent sorting, which includes fetching information regarding competition and expertise. AI tools help to go through the unstructured information of candidates and process it into a structured format to find the right candidate by studying qualified databases, referrals, and auto pointers on the basis of their social media presence. Thus, the primary tasks of recruiters such as finding potential employees, separating CVs, and select the right candidate for the job are now facilitated by AI tools.

Today, most companies are adopting AI-powered remote hiring methods for initial screening of candidates, background verification, and onboarding processes. However, it is important for the company to offer a positive vibe to the candidates by providing a human interface to attract talented people rather than focusing on the virtual activities of AI tools.

The future of AI applications in recruitment is vast. There are various uses such as chatbots to interact with candidates, predictive recruitment analytics to evaluate candidate’s behavior, virtual reality to offer an environment of a high-tech workplace experience, mobile apps to keep in touch with candidates and there are much more.

Some of the myths associated with AI are fear of loss of job, AI will dominate human intelligence, AI and human beings have same learning ability, etc. The recruiters should not see AI as a threat to their existence instead uses AI tools to reduce their workload and improve work efficiency.
