It is one of the leading brands in the roofing industry which recently launched ‘our farmers our pride’ campaign. This social media campaign was launched to remind people about the forgotten fact that farmers are the pride of our nation.

Farmers despite their struggles work strenuously and they play a pivotal role in the food supply chain in developing countries like India, where agriculture is the source of living for many. Statistics revealed that the agriculture sector accounts for 18% of the Gross Domestic Product of India. Farmers despite being important in this sector, are often seen protesting because of various reasons like government policies and low payments which are making them face poverty. The condition of farmers is dreadful in India. Approximately 80% of the farmers in India are in the category of marginal or small farmers. The suicidal rates of farmers are increasing each day. The world is revolving around technology and eventually, thoughts about farmers and agriculture got erased from the minds of people. The companies started initiatives to remind people about the actual pride of India.

Tata Shaktee is one of such companies that came forward to give a strong and meaningful message to the public about the importance of farmers with the help of a heartwarming video that featured a kid and his grandfather who is a farmer. The theme of the ad is to thank farmers for their efforts, dedication, and hard work. It was launched on the occasion of Kissan Diwas on 23 December as part of its 20th-anniversary celebrations and is an acknowledgment of the hard work and contribution of farmers. The ad film is the pinnacle of the campaign which revolves around giving importance to farmers for their services round the year, from which people enjoy their everyday meal. It reminded people about the backbone of our nation, true strength holders, and feeders of our nation. The campaign strengthens the bond between the brand and the farmers.
